Self-Indulgence?

I am almost three weeks away from starting this road trip and I can't help but feel this is self-indulgent (I think Julianne has felt the same). Most people I know are either in jobs, looking for jobs, in class, or doing something to make this world a better place. What do I do? I got to Europe and across the country. I am hoping that whatever job I get, and whatever activities I participate in after my travels will redeem me for taking a breather from the 'real world' for just a little longer. I am also hoping it will help get me centered and refreshed before I have to start the grind of both looking for and then working in a new job.
